Leaves me green with envy.

I know you all know by now that I love, love, love the Financial District.

Let me show you why, with some stylish “Hogs” and “Non-Quitters” thrown in for good measure.

I know everyone who visits New York wants to see the the bright lights and big city-style of Times Square. I get it; that’s what they see on the television, but there is so much more history downtown, so many beautiful structures in the Financial District/Battery Park City area. It’s truly a shame people don’t spend more times getting off the tour bus to walk down Broadway and Wall Street, instead of only stopping at the World Trade Center and Trinity Church.

Did you know George Washington was inaugurated on Wall Street as the first president of the United States?

Dude, it’s kind of a big deal.

And yeah, the bookstore, namely the Borders on Broadway across from the Trinity Church (public restroom alert on the second floor for those in need!), has a beautiful roof and a Dean & Deluca inside. Screw Seattle’s Best or the Starbucks at Barnes & Noble.

PS. “Hogs”- I’m totally feeling ‘em after seeing this lady wearing hers with cropped denims! Should I invest? I just might. I can totally see myself wearing them while riding my bicycle (I’ve yet to purchase) around Astoria (where I’ve yet to move) this summer.
