OMG Pretty Birds! Tomorrow I’m going to paint a chess board on my patio table and refurnish some chairs I found on the street . . . and then, of course, I’m going to throw on a dress and some heels and head to a book store and read all the $15 magazines my heart desires (and yet, cannot afford
)
Hope you’re all enjoying a lazy Sunday on this oh-so-sweet Memorial Day weekend.
Stay tuned! I’ll be updating this post with photos of the whole process, and step-by-step directions on how you can maybe do it at home, you know, if you should feel so inclined . . .
Update: Crazy case of hives has curtailed refurbishing plans. But don’t worry, eventually, I’ll post up the pictures!

These chairs are fug, but just wait until I’m finished with them.
Ignore the boxes-slash-clutter in the background that I still haven’t fully unpacked.
I own wayyy too many shoes. This is some of the overflow of the ones that refuse to fit into my closet.
The finished product soon to come . . .
Update: Unfortunately more hives, more mess, and I promise you, eventually more photos to come!
Update: Sore (not hives, actually) haven’t gone away, and so I haven’t finished this project yet, but behold below, my inspiration wall going back up.
Remember when I told y’all bout that polka dotted green bathing suit I loved, loved, loved when I was little?
Look very closely at the framed picture of the little girl on my inspiration wall. It’s me!!!!
Gosh, I was cute, right? LOL. Of course I was! Anyways, sometimes folks are like, J- what is an inspiration wall?
An inspiration wall contains everything that I’m working with or that is inspiring me lately. From torn out scents (like Zegna’s men’s fragrance) to swatches of fabric (lace, forest green faux-snakeskin, and ivory raw silk) to pictures of places I’d like to travel to next.
More updates soon!
