Perfection.
Christophe Decarnin has taken everything JPG wanted to convey, toned it down a bit, tossed out the leather diapers, et viola! Perfection.
And if you’ve ever seen Decarnin’s collections up close and personal, then you know, Pretty Birds, that the secret isn’t in the sauce, but in the details.
I know that folks will say Decarnin’s collections have grown tiresome, with their rock and roll, grunge-y appeal, but I actually think that the silhouettes and cuts are very pleasing to the eye. Granted, if you’re wearing these ensembles in the suburbs, you’re going to look out of place, but in Paris or New York? -You will undoubtedly be the envy of every poor girl who shelled out her 6 months of savings for some Alexander Wang pieces that were manufacture for a mere fraction of the price in China.
Pfffff. Good riddance to them, I say, and hello House of Balmain.
PS. that first photo above? -It’s Britt Maren, the fresh face everyone and their skeevy Terry-Richardson-like uncles is lusting after. Her blonde hair? Perfection.
